MOTORCYCLE TYPES:
Photos of some great vintage, custom, and specialty bikes!
The Yamaha SRX 500 below has a really cool 1960's "rocker" look. The white wall tires give the bike a retro look which is unique.
Below is a Honda CB750 bobber, rat bike, and custom!
The early Honda 750's have been used for every sort of custom. Cafe Racers, choppers, bobbers, rat bikes and every type of custom. The one above also has a vintage look.
The 1970's Yamaha 650 twins have been popular bikes to customize. The chopper pictured has been done very well.
Sad but true, a stock Yamaha 650 is now hard to find!
This 1990's Honda Valkyrie custom looks like a sport bike.
The Valkyrie was fast for a big cruiser in it's day. The one above really looks great! This is a great example of a modern and unique custom.
The 1965 to 1967 Honda CB450 was the first "big" Japanese bike to challenge the British bikes. It didn't do the job, but it started the movement toward big bikes from Japan. It's the bike used in the VCME logo.
Below is the prototype BSA Tempest. It has been in development since 2003. It's a 1000cc bike to bring back the BSA name. I doubt that it will ever go into production, but I HOPE it does happen!
The BSA above has a Cafe
Racer look. I wish it had gone into production!
The Mugen MRV1000:
Above is the Mugen MRV1000. It was a Vincent like bike built in 1973 by the son of Soichiro Honda, Hirotoshi Honda. A one off prototype only, but beautiful. Hirotoshi became known in the 70's and 80's for building F1 racing engines.
Honda called his first genuine motorcycle a Dream!
The Dreams are the most collectable early Honda's. A bit underpowered by today's standards, they will still cruise at highway speeds. They just look really cool!
One of Honda's most popular mid 1960's models.
The Honda 250 then 305 Scramblers were purchased by tens of thousands of new riders. This "red framed" version is rare.
In my opinion, the little GB 500, of 1989 and 1990, is one of the greatest Honda's ever built!
The first 3 cylinder 2 stroke Kawasaki (the H 1) was quite a groundbreaker. Several series of these bikes, 350cc, 500cc & 750cc, were made from 1968 through 1975. They were very fast but were never known for reliability.
